Susa (Shush in Persian) is one of the most ancient cities in the world. It is an active and alive city from prehistoric period up to now. Shush was the capital city in Elemite period and also official capital city during Achaemenid. Ghirshman as the French archeologist discovered 14 layers of civilization during his research in Susa including Elemites, Achamenids, Seleucids, Parthians, Sassanians, and Islamic period. Hamurabi Code, the Status of Dariush the Great and Macedonian head-spears left over from Alexander the Great’s attack were discovered During the excavations of French archaeologists. Ancient city of Susa has several parts in which Apadana palace, Elemite city, French castle, and industrial city are the most famous parts.
