For the first time in Khuzestan province, a tour for visitors who are blind to the Haft-Tappeh Museum and Chogha Zanbil Ziggurat was operated free of charge on Friday, 20th May 2016, by the Khuzestan Tourist Guides Association ( KHTGA), Susan Jahromi as a supervisor and Ali Kharrazi as a designer and operator ,under care of Ghoghnoosh Shargh Travel Agency.
18 blind tourists participated in this specialized tour in which one guide was considered for every three tourists. In order to realize glory and greatness of Chogha Zanbil Ziggurat and the Haft-Tappeh Museum, a maquette of Ziggurat with all the details and also various parts of the Haft-Tappeh Museum were prepared in which the maquettes were touched by the blind tourists while listening to descriptions of tourist guides. Then, the blind tourists were leaded by guides in Chogha Zanbil Ziggurat and given them more information about this world heritage site. Also, a leaflet in braille, a gift and entertainment were other services of blinds tour. A group of reporters, photographers and a local TV cameraman and the authorities of Ahwaz Blind Center accompanied tourists.
